MONOTHEISM

WHICH RELIGION IS TRUE AND LOGICAL?

ISLAM claims Jesus of Nazareth did not die on a cross.  In the Qur’an, Surah 4:157 – “they killed him not, nor crucified him…”

Yet, many sources of earlier accounts document the death of Christ by Roman crucifixion including the writings of Greek Historian Thallos in 55 AD, Roman prisoner Mara bar Serapion in 73 AD, Jewish Historian Josephus in 94 AD, Roman Historian Tacitus in 116 AD, and the New Testament that was written between 30-90 AD.

Multiple first century documents written by multiple authors confirm details of the Roman crucifixion and death of Jesus of Nazareth.  Is it more logical to accept the testimony of one author that wrote about an event six hundred years after the fact or to accept the corroborative testimony of multiple authors that were present at the event or born within a decade?

JUDAISM claims their Holy text, the Tanakh, to be the word of God and that someday the Messiah will come to Earth.  Yet, Jews today deny hundreds of messianic prophecies fulfilled by Jesus of Nazareth. Hebrew prophets clearly predicted the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem, then executed as a criminal by crucifixion, and the Temple in Jerusalem would be destroyed all by the year 70 AD.  Either Jesus of Nazareth is the Messiah, or the Tanakh was written by false prophets.

CHRISTIANITY claims the Tanakh (Old Testament) is true and was fulfilled by Jesus of Nazareth as described by the writers of the New Testament Bible.  Christians also claim the entire Bible (Old & New Testaments) to be validated by logic, reason, archeology, ancient texts outside the Bible, and science.
