Long before the craziness of 2020, vaccines have been the hallmark of pop culture virtue signaling. Not familiar with that term? Well, virtue signaling is the fuel that has skyrocketed mask mandates, social distancing protocols, and yes even the Black Lives Matter movement… along with the ideas of White Shaming & White Privilege.
Dictionary.com defines VIRTUE SIGNALING as:
“the sharing of one’s point of view on a social or political issue,often on social media, in order to garner praise or acknowledgment of one’s righteousness from others who share that point of view, or to passively rebuke those who do not”
I am sure, like me, you have experienced a situation with a “Karen” who has looked down their nose at you in regard to your view on vaccines, masks, BLM, or all of the above. These folks, men & women, have usually done zero research, but find your existence to be appalling because you don’t parrot the mainstream media moral mantra of the month. Here’s a funny video that goes into this current phenomena.
We all tend to believe what we are told, but unfortunately what we are being told tends to be half-truths with an agenda leaning to the political Left or Right. You will hear what you want to hear on your favorite news broadcast, but the CNN-Fox divide is also what divides us. Instead of being polarized over which echo chamber of half truths we decide to immerse ourselves in, let’s turn to Jesus and be united in Him.
In John 8, Jesus said that “you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.“
So, as Christians we are able to unite around the Truth of Christ and in every situation we can use the mind we have been given to ignore the half truths of the media and study for ourselves what the truth actually is.
Like the “noble-minded” Jews in Berea hearing the teachings of Paul & Silas, but then studying the Scriptures to verify what they heard… we too, can cross examine pop culture media by looking at the data.
For example, I now live in Utah and our news outlets keep telling us that our hospitals are overrun/dire with COVID cases. We have been told that this disease is extremely dangerous and we must not meet in large groups & respect other COVID restrictions. Granted, Los Angeles is experiencing even more stringent fake mandates, and thankfully my family & I escaped LA.
Taking the Berean approach to the Utah news, I went to the Salt Lake County Health Department website to see the real data. There, I discovered that of the 2,366 hospital beds in Salt Lake County; 234 of them were being used by COVID-19 patients. source
So, which source of information is giving a half truth… aka spreading fake news?
Giving the benefit of the doubt to the Salt Lake news outlets, there has been a rise in COVID-19 cases. Thus when extrapolating that information one could assume that hospitals could end up being overrun. Yet, there is another factor at play.
Salt Lake County is experiencing a 14.82% positive case rate. So, if 100 people take a COVID test than approximately 14-15 people will test positive. Given this information, what do you think will happen if 200 people are tested? You guessed it, 28-30 people will be found tested positive.
As the rate of testing has drastically increased, so has the case rate. Take a look at the lock step growth of case rate to testing rate in Salt Lake County.
ARE YOU AFRAID OF COVID?

Does the COVID-19 vaccine raise moral questions?
Yes, the COVID-19 vaccine does raise many questions in regard to morality, but the main two are:
- Is it immoral to decline the vaccine?
- Is it immoral to receive the vaccine?
In order to tackle the first question of declining the COVID-19 vaccine, we must acknowledge the pop culture claims surrounding the topic.
If we are in the middle of a global health crisis and a pandemic is killing people at an alarming rate, then we truly do need a solution.
If the only solution to our current outbreak is a vaccine, then we need one… like yesterday.
If the Operation Warp Speed initiative has produced a safe vaccine, then we must all take it.
Yes, it is immoral to reject the COVID-19 vaccine if everything the pop culture media is telling us is true, but…
- Has COVID-19 shown to be killing people at an alarming rate?
- Is a vaccine the only solution?
- Is the Operation Warp Speed Vaccine safe?
1. HAS COVID-19 SHOWN TO BE KILLING PEOPLE AT AN ALARMING RATE?
Yes, COVID-19 is real and it has been causing many people to die. At the writing of this article the CDC has reported that 261,530 Americans have died from the disease. However, the CDC has also reported that COVID was the straw that broke the proverbial “Camel’s Back” in regard to deaths this year. Much like years past with the cold or the flu, COVID-19 took the weak & vulnerable in 2020.
Most folks who died from COVID had other diseases and illnesses called comorbidities. In fact, 94% of COVID deaths in America have been attributed to those with 2 – 3 serious diseases other than COVID-19.
The CDC has documented that of all the 2020 pandemic mortalities in America, just in a mere “6% of the deaths, COVID-19 was the only cause mentioned.”
While COVID-19 is spreading fast across the globe and at home, we have seen the data show it to be something unworthy of raising an eyebrow. For example, in December, Utah passed 1,000 COVID deaths. Of which, if the CDC is correct, only represents 60 healthy people dying of COVID. With that stated, in a years’ past average, Utah has documented approximately 1,300 deaths due to random accidents. Why have we not shutdown the state before in regard to accidents?
2. IS A VACCINE THE ONLY SOLUTION?
No, the vaccine is not the only option for many reasons, but the first has to due with vaccine efficacy and inoculation.
First and foremost, past Coronavirus vaccines have had an approximate 50% rate of viability, otherwise known as vaccine efficacy. Last year’s flu season, for example, had a flu vaccine efficacy rate of 34%. source
Which means that 66% of those who received the flu shot got the flu. So, if every person on the planet was somehow able to be inoculated with the novel COVID-19 vaccine, over 5 billion people will still acquire the disease.
But, what about other lines of treatment as opposed to the COVID-19 Operation Warp Speed vaccine? Could just being young and healthy be an option? Could Hydroxychloroquine be affirmed? What about a daily dose of Zinc & Vitamin D? Or, perhaps, the latest claim that Ivermectin is a cure, but also a prophylactic/preventative?

3. IS THE OPERATION WARP SPEED VACCINE SAFE?
The 2020 COVID-19 vaccine that has produced at warp speed has not been subjected to the traditional scrutiny of the medical community as other vaccines have been from our nation’s past. In fact, the average approval rate has been between 10-15 years due to the mandatory seven stages of FDA ratification. source
Also, no vaccine has ever been approved that has been built on mRNA sequencing. The COVID-19 vaccine is an mRNA based injection that uses genetic material in a new and untested way. The CDC has been open and transparent about this fact in stating that there are “currently no licensed mRNA vaccines in the United States.” source
Long story short, the vaccine might be safe… we just don’t know because we are distributing a new mRNA vaccine that has never been licensed before and we have skipped the 10-15 year trial period. Sadly, if you do take the risk and the vaccine cause you harm, too bad for you. Yes, the Secretary of Health and Human Services has created the The PREP Act and COVID-19: Limiting Liability for Medical Countermeasures, which basically states that no company or agency can be held responsible for you being harmed by the COVID-19 vaccine. The risk is all yours.
GIVEN THE FACT THAT COVID-19 IS NOT KILLING PEOPLE AT AN ALARMING RATE, THE VACCINE IS NOT THE ONLY OPTION, AND THE VACCINE HAS NOT PROVEN TO BE SAFE… IS IT IMMORAL TO DECLINE THE COVID-19 VACCINE?
Declining the COVID-19 vaccine is not immoral for many reasons, but specifically for the three logical reasons previously explored in this article.
In fact, I am about to argue that taking the vaccine is absolutely wrong and gregiously immoral for a different reason.
As previously stated, the COVID-19 vaccine is not needed because there is no evidence of excessive death. The COVID-19 vaccine is not needed because there are multiple avenues of proven treatment that work very well. The COVID-19 vaccine is also unproven and built upon an untested idea of mRNA sequencing.
But the real moral conundrum lies within the ingredients of the COVID-19 vaccine.
The first approved COVID-19 vaccine in the United States has been named Tozinameran (BNT162b2) which has been produced by Pfizer-BioNTech. Sadly, the delivery system of the mRNA Spike proteins must be housed in formulated lipid nanoparticles (LNP’s). source
LNP’s are derived through a process that utilizes various strains of human cell lines. The most commonly used human cell line in the formulation of lipid nanoparticles is HEK293T. source
HEK stands for Human Embryonic Kidney which are cells taken from an aborted human fetus. source
CONCLUSION
The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine known as Tozinameran (BNT162b2) is not only far from needed, it is:
- UNTESTED OVER LONG TERM SCENARIOS
- AN mRNA VACCINE THAT HAS NEVER BEEN PREVIOUSLY UNAPPROVED
- A VACCINE THAT USES ABORTED FETAL MATERIAL
Stand up for what is true. Stop the madness. What do you have to lose other than the life and health of your family? What do you have to gain?.. NOTHING!
What does Pfizer have to lose? Billions of dollars.
